why zena ?
I started working on zena because I needed a flexible tool to manage my own website as an artist (gaspardbuma.org).
Of course, I did not start with the intent to create a full featured CMS, the idea was just to ease some things that I found annoying in the tools I previously used.
After a while, the tool started to become interesting and I decided I needed even more flexibility. It’s at that time that I decided to add a templating language (see it’s time for templates) and started to wonder if this thing could actually be useful to other people. I also discovered that zena could be really interesting for designers.
That was in early 2007. Since then, I worked hard to bring zena to maturity.

I live in Lausanne, Switzerland with my wife and 3 kids. When I’m not hacking zena or busy with my family, I create shows. I wrote an open source patcher that I use for the technological parts of these shows called rubyk.
And last but not least, I am trying to become a capoeirist by taking courses at the great ACL.
